As we roll into 2022, a little wary, a lot fatigued, a bit still in disbelief that it feels like 2020 on repeat, we want to pose a different kind of New Year Challenge. We’re not talking about dieting, or exercising, or meal planning, or getting more sleep, or managing your email inbox to the lofty goal of zero unread emails. We are talking about busting out of the idea that achievement is only significant when it is attained at a young age.
We’ve all seen the 40 Under 40 Lists and have absolutely celebrated the success of those on them, but what’s missing is the list celebrating achievements at any age. What about the 50-year-old mom who finishes her degree? Or the 70-year-old retiree who opens that little hobby shop they dreamed of having in their retirement? These achievements are all just as worthy, and at times, achieved under more challenging conditions as we navigate various priorities alongside growing families, or aging parents, or career disruption.
So, this year, we want to challenge you to tell us about ALL of the achievers you know at EVERY age. Tell us what they do, how they are making a difference, and how we can cheer them on. Maybe it’s YOU, maybe it’s a colleague, family member, or friend. Let’s show the world that we are powerful at any age.
~ Well wishes for a happy and healthy 2022 full of all the things you are aiming for!
